The Original Murder Inc. Reunites At The Formation Tour

DJ Khaled is one of the most influential people of 2016 right along with the Queen Bey. The Final night of Beyonce’s Formation Tour at Met Life stadium in New Jersey. DJ Khaled made history by reuniting Jay Z, Ja Rule & DMX together backstage with a photo was taken by Atlantic Record’s President of Black Music Mike Kyser.

Back before Murder Inc. was one of the hottest record labels it was supposed to a notorious rap group which included Jay Z, Ja Rule & DMX. In 1999 the rappers covered the June issue of XXL photographed by Jonathan Mannion. This was actually only XXl’s 9th issue right at the time these 3 rap stars were taking over the rap game.

Even though this group never happen it was amazing to see these three together. Back in 2004 Ja Rule spoke to MTV news about the rap trio:

“We tried to deliver that album. It was a situation where egos all just played a part in its demise. We couldn’t get X and Jay in the same room, from long ago, their storied battle on the pool table, guns out [and] all of that. That carried over into our careers and we were all trying to do our thing separately and it carried over. It was hard to get all of us into a room to do what we needed to do. We did a few records together and those records will always be classics to a lot of people in the history of hip-hop. I wish that album would’ve came to fruition, it would’ve been real dope… I think there might be one– one or two joints that’s still out there that y’all haven’t heard.”

This also included Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Young M.A, T.I, August Alsina & more. Beyonce also took the stage with Serena Williams for Sorry, Kendrick Lamar for Freedom & of course her husband Hov took the stage to perform Druk In Love.
