Kevin Hart Passes Jerry Seinfeld For World’s Highest-Paid Comedian
This year’s Forbes highest paid comedians list is different now to comedian/actor Kevin Hart. For the past 10 years Jerry Seinfeld as been the number one stop. In the last 10 years combined Seinfeld as made $900 million which is why he as been at the top of the list for the past decade. Between June 2015 and June 2016 Kevin Hart as earned $87.5 million just $30 million over Jerry Seinfeld. Kevin also made Forbes annual celebrity 100 lists, a list of celebrity moneymakers coming in at number 6.
The Forbes highest paid comedian list is scored prior to taxes and management fees. Forbes looks at earnings from endorsements, DVD sales, films, paid appearances, touring. Hart made the top of the list because no other comedian tours like him. In one year Kevin Hart as did over 100 shows and averaging over $1 million for each show. He’s also performing at places like Madison Square Garden, and the Staples Center in LA.
We can all admit that Kevin Hart passing Jerry Seinfeld on this list is actually a big deal. Jerry staring in one of the most historic comedies ‘Seinfeld’ created by Larry David and was running for 9 seasons. Jerry was also making $1 million per episode. Kevin Hart’s new stand-up movie ‘What Now?’ in theaters October 14th.
